Beginner Aikido course
Aikido is a modern Japanese martial art focused on non-violent conflict resolution. We study universal principles of self-defense and movement, then apply them in techniques appropriate to each student's physical abilities and training level.
While Aikido training teaches self-defense, the focus of training is on self-awareness and control. Improved balance, flexibility, overall health, and mood are common outcomes.
The usual training time until one's first promotion is five to eight months.
